Greater Manchester Autism Consortium
The project aims to be a point of contact for anyone in Greater Manchester needing information about autism and related issues.
We provide information to parents, people with ASD and professionals, as well as directing people to the relevant statutory services and voluntary agencies in their own area. Enquiries can be made by telephone, email or by letter. An individualised response is provided to each enquiry.
The type of information we are able to provide covers a wide variety such as:
- Identification and diagnostic assessment
- Education
- Family Support
- Short breaks
- Strategies for managing behaviour
- Communication tools
- Managing stress and anxiety
- Relationships
- Social and leisure opportunities
- Benefits
- Employment
As well as providing telephone advice and individualised Information Packs we can also put parents & carers in touch with other support groups and offer a parent-to-parent telephone link via the Greater Manchester Parent Resource Network.
