Katie Noon
I have 16 years childcare experience. 7 years experience working in private nursery settings with children birth to 5 years, and a further 9 years experience as a childminder caring for a variety of aged children. I hold a NVQ level 3 in childcare and NVQ Level 3 in Homebase childcare. I hold valid first aid and DBS Certificates.
I live with my son in Offerton Stockport.
I offer a high standard of flexible quality childcare in a warm, welcoming safe home environment.
I have a great range of toys and equipment which I add to and update regularly to keep up to date with the children's interests.
I have a large well equipped garden, enabling the children to take part and learn and explore during regular outdoor play session and planned activities.
Each day we enjoy doing lots of fun filled activities such as baking, creative activities, singing and dancing and attending local playgroup/childminder sessions and visit local parks, libraries, farms and soft play centres.
We often go on planned day trips to the zoo, beach and many other exciting places during the school holidays.
I am a Quality Assured Network Childminder and can offer free early education and childcare places for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and offer the free 30 hours childcare. I have experience of working with children with additional needs and I am more than happy to care for children with disabilities and who are entitled to the local offer.
I am always looking for ways to improve my service and setting and enjoy taking regular training courses to support me with this along with keeping up to date with my first aid and safeguarding training.

Local Offer
- Description
- Transition is supported by settling-in sessions with and without parents, questionnaires completed by children and parents, children sometimes bring comfort objects. When children leave to go to school/nursery, visits are done with children and a transition report is completed which informs the new setting of the child’s level of development.
- Needs are identified by completing an initial starting points questionnaire with the parents and any other settings involved and regular 2 monthly reviews are completed.
- To ensure that all children are able to access and be involved in activities, adjustments are made and suitable resources are made accessible for all children depending on their individual needs and ages/stages of development. I have discussions with parents to ensure the needs of children with special needs can be met and I am willing to take additional training to meet their needs. Consulting with parents is done verbally, by sharing diary reports & early years learning journals.
- I have previously worked with the Health Visiting Team, Children’s Services and Speech & Language and I am happy to support any child with additional needs. I support parents by attending appointments with them and give advice about local services and children’s drop-ins that are available.
