Autistic Society Greater Manchester - Lifeskills project and 1to1 outreach support
The Aspirations project provides practical support for individuals with Asperger Syndrome and High Functioning Autism.
The project aims to help people with Asperger Syndrome to develop a ‘tool kit’ of life skills, particularly the social and communication skills that are needed to successfully function in today’s society.
The project is open to people from the age of 10 years and upwards. Aspirations deliver a number of group based activities but they also provide the lifeskills project of 1 to 1 community based out reach support. This involves a support worker from Aspirations working with a young person, taking them out and about doing things that they want to do or visiting places of interest in the local community.
