I live in a semi-detached house in Romiley. I have been married to Jon for 18 years and have 2 children.
My aim is that every child in my setting be looked after well, and feel safe and happy.
I have lots of experience with children and understand the huge importance of choosing the right childcare.
I have a dedicated playroom, large kitchen/diner and a large enclosed garden with play equipment.
I can offer free early education and childcare places for 2, 3 and 4 year old's.

As a local childcare provider I aim to meet every child’s individual needs whilst they are in my care. I work hard to support children’s development and meet the various needs of any child that may arise during their time in my care. Providing a smaller environment with fewer children means that children are given a one to one experience of learning.
Children’s needs are identified within the setting by closely observing and ensuring that the children are developing as they should be within the age range. This of course is individual as all children develop at different rates, so looking at their personal development, considering their personalities. These observations are done regularly, taking in an overview of the child and would be regularly reviewed with parents.
Good communication with parents is key to ensure that they are happy with the way things are being handled and the happiness of their child. I have a daily diary which is a two way thing, parents are welcome to comment along with myself to keep me up to date with things at home. Parents are made to feel welcome and I am available if they wish to talk, or they are welcome to ring me. I also do questionnaires for parents to complete to help me have an overview of how everyone feels.
Any staff would be trained as required to ensure they were capable of meeting the needs of the children in the setting.
I give parents my support in continuing and encouraging their child’s development at home, I encourage parents to share as much information with me as they can about their children, what they achieve etc. so we can share that in the setting with the child’s friends, thus improving their self-esteem with sharing their achievements.
As a child minder I would support parents and children in the transition into my setting by working closely with parents. After all, parents know the needs and personality of their children best.
