Description

I am an independent childminder with 25 years of experience with children of all ages, (though I specialise in under 3 year olds) and throughout my time I have dealt with a wide range of disabilities.

My first step is communicating with you about your child. I will hold a preliminary meeting where we can discuss the feasibility of me caring for your child and if I can meet their needs. I will then work closely with you with any ongoing management of their needs by talking daily and writing a daily journal which I can highlight anything positive or negative that needs to be addressed.

I have attended training courses for my professional development about various disabilities, specifics can be provided in the meeting if needed.

For six and a half years I worked with Stockport council’s families in crisis team and dealt with social services providing respite care for children from vulnerable families.
