- Description
We provide support for children with additional needs through:
- Settling in sessions with key staff-completion of relevant paperwork e.g. getting to know your child.
- Development summaries based on observations and tracking sheets completed every 6 months. We also have a baseline assessment record which key-worker completes with parent to assess the child’s level of development which is completed when the child starts the setting. We also have 2 year checks.
- Daily handovers and baby diaries, parent liaison meeting every 3 months. Email/text messaging service, parent’s evenings held every 6 months.
- Staff would attend adequate training for the specific needs of the child.
- SENCO and manager will work with staff and child.
- Working with Portage, speech and language, occupational therapists, educational psychology.
- Home observation, activities for home to continue to support development.
