Based at Woodbank Community Centre SK1 4BN, this Free course is for any young person 16-25 year olds who have struggled to engage in previous courses, not currently in education or employment or training and are not sure what is next for them.
Skills gained = Qualification in personal development & employability - Certificates in first aid - food hygiene Communication and leadership skills - Breaking habits and living independently - Taking responsibility - decision making - Confidence and meeting new people
What’s more, all our programs are completely free and won’t affect their benefits . We will even cover travel expenses and provide Free lunch for the placements
20th March: Induction: Consists of a 3 hour session to familiarise with the group, environment and course content with ice breakers and team challenges
Week 1- 25th – 27th March
3 day Access course using adventurous activities to build on confidence, communication s- kills, self-esteem team working and much more.
Week 2- 1st – 3rd April
- 3 day Access building on skills developed during the previous weeks and pushing comfort zones further to assist in meeting goals.
- Follow-on: sessions continue to run on a twice weekly basis working on employability, independent living a skills in a fun and interactive way.
