Stockport MENCAP

Stockport Mencap located at Prospect House, Heaton Moor is a local group for the people of Stockport and surrounding areas. We offer support, advise and opportunities to young adults to meet people and develop friendships.  The groups we run give much needed respite to families as well as a fun activity for members.

We deliver a number of activities:

GATEWAY CLUB:  Drop-in disco, chance to play pool, catch up with friends and have fun over a drink and biscuit.  Click here for more information on the activity.

GATEWAY PLUS CLUB:  Activity-based group taking part in art and craft projects, film watching, 10 pin bowling, etc, and generally having fun with a drink and biscuit.  Click here for more information on the activity.

TRANS16:  A small friendship group that samples a range of activities.  The group usually meets on the last Monday of each month times vary according to activities.  Click here for more information on the activity.

ABC FAMILY GROUP:  Aim is to provide a setting for all the family within a play environment with plenty of toys, games and activities to keep everyone busy.  It is an opportunity for families to make friends with families in a similar position and share experiences.  Click here for more information on the activity.
