English Federation for Disabled Sport

Disabled people should have every opportunity to be as active as non-disabled people. Physical activity can make a fundamental difference to disabled people’s quality of life, it can increase independence and benefit our economy and yet disabled people's activity levels remain low.

Our charity champions disabled people’s right to participate in physical activity and sport. The EFDS Charter for Change sets out what disabled people say they need to make this possible. We are calling upon those in various sectors to commit their support for our Charter and make active lives possible, for all.

Sport, clubs and activities in the North West:  EFDS is committed to supporting disabled people in participating in the sport and physical activity opportunities of their choice. We work with the County Sport Partnerships, National Governing Bodies of Sport, National Disability Sports Organisations and other relevant partners both within and outside of the sports sector to drive the development of disabled people in sport.

The EFDS contact for the North West is Tom Webster, Engagement Officer
