I believe that a happy child will grow in confidence and develop self esteem in a well structured day. This includes a variety of ability based activities that are challenging, and help to develop social and cognitive skills.

Description

I am an extremely caring and happy Childminder who has enjoyed working from home with children for the last 15 years. We are a family of four including two grown up boys. Our small, happy and friendly home has accessible private gardens for outdoor play/activities. We have kind and pleasant families visiting. I value and respect the different racial origins, religions, cultures and languages in a multi-ethnic society. All adults and children are treated with equal concern and are made to feel welcome in my home.

Childminding is a very special job – every day is different and there’s always something new to learn.

I recognise and welcome all SEN procedures as set out in SEN legislation and the SEN Code of Practice.

I have experience working with SEN children and their families over the past years, experiencing and supporting them with Physiotherapy and daily exercises, Orthotics, Speech and Language and also being actively involved visiting school settings  with families, to assist them with their choice of school. Previously, adaptations have been made to my home to overcome potential barriers to learning and assessment for individuals as they have arisen.

I gained an NVQ  Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development in April 2010. I regularly keep up to date with on-going training and development in all areas within legislation, in order to carry out my role effectively.

I offer Free Early Education Entitlement for 2, 3 and 4 Year Olds.

By providing a happy, well maintained homely environment, the children in my care are encouraged to develop social skills to help them be accepted and welcome in society as they grow up. I received an Outstanding within my Ofsted Report under Quality and Standards – for how well are children helped to enjoy and achieve?  I feel, the best play equipment a child needs is an adult who gives them attention, listens and holds an interesting conversation.  I always help children to feel good about themselves and others, by celebrating the differences which make us all unique individuals.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements and references can be furbished as and when required.

Thank you.
