Stockport Village Nursery
A bright, spacious, modern, purpose built day nursery that is both practical and where the emphasis on individual needs are paramount.
We are in the centre of Stockport, conveniently situated for workers and residents, close to both bus and train stations.
Children from 3 months to 5 years are cared for and supported in age appropriate rooms with a high ratio of experienced, qualified, long serving staff. We really are like a family here with most staff serving over 10 years. Also all senior staff are are trained in Paediatric first aid.
It is important that little ones are allowed to learn through play which is why we are forever restocking our ever expanding resources.

Settling in sessions offered, All about Me form filled in with keyworker & parent to discuss general needs, likes/dislikes. Information from other professionals involved with the child. As many or as little sessions offered as necessary for parent and child
Starting point sheets are filled in by key worker/parent on entry to assess where child is. Observations from settling in period and ongoing continuous observations kept in child’s learning journey. Children’s progress is reviewed with key worker and senior management.
We work on a high staff/child ratio so are able to provide additional support where needed. Nursery is all at a low level so easily accessible.
We have a good relationship with parents and share observations and assessments with parents constantly.
Staff are all long serving and have a variety of different backgrounds. Staff constantly attending courses and are supported by experienced senior management.
Experience staff have worked with a variety of different needs. Portage, Speech & language, Occupational therapy, behaviour support, psychology service,
