- Description
Stella Maris School is an independent primary school with an Early Years department of Nursery and Reception aged children.
Children are welcomed into the school by the caring and highly trained staff. The staff spend time with parents/carers and the children during their initial visit to get to know them.
At drop off and pick up times the staff are available to talk to parents, and formal parents meetings are arranged throughout the school year. A weekly news letter is published by the school with details of upcoming events and news relating to the school.
The children’s progress is monitored closely and if outside support from other agencies is required it is discreetly discussed by the staff with the parent/carer.
Each child has a home communication book in which information about the child’s progress is made, along with information about how parents can help their child at home.
The staff work hard to ensure that smooth transitions are made by the children into their next setting.
