Ladybirds Nursery Ltd

Ladybirds Nursery is a school for children between the ages of two and five years, staffed by suitably qualified and other professionals who encourage and supervise educational play rather than simply providing childcare.  It is a pre-school education institution, part of early childhood education.

Unlike some early years settings, Ladybirds Nursery provides more educational exercises and assessments that aims to prepare children for primary school education. This, of course, will involve literacy, numeracy and creative learning. That being said, your child will also receive play time and rest time, too.

We are open from 8am – 6pm for 50 weeks of the year and provide the funded 15, 30 and additional paid hours. We endeavour to accommodate working parents as best we can.

What makes Ladybirds so great?? … The Staff! We have a superb team of people with extensive qualifications and experience. We have a qualified teacher with Early Years Teacher Status and Special Educational Needs proficiency, Higher Level Teaching Assistant with 20 years’ experience in all Primary, SEN and Early Years areas of education. But most importantly, ALL our staff our Mums and Grandmothers!

Each of us have excellent subject knowledge and high expectations to develop and teach a curriculum which engages, motivates and inspires all children to learn and achieve. We work to ensure all children succeed and achieve, use formative assessments to plan future learning which is child centred and differentiated, enabling all children to achieve their potential. We have created an inspiring child centred environment both indoors and out. We promote and teach Numeracy and ICT through the Nursery.

Ladybirds Nursery is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and staff alike. A designated Safeguarding Officer and DBS checked staff are on the site at all times. We are committed to safeguarding all children and ensure the Nursery remains a safe and inclusive place to be at all times.
