Kooth

Kooth is a free online platform that can offer advice, opportunities to chat with other young people and 1-2-1 support from wellbeing professionals.

How do I use Kooth?

Sign up by visiting the Kooth website.

What age is this suitable for?

Young people between 11 and 18.

When is Kooth open?

The articles and forums are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

1-2-1 chat is available 12pm - 10pm on weekdays, and 6pm - 10pm on weekends. You can also message them out of these hours and they'll get back as soon as they can.

What can I ask them about?

They can help with anything that affects your wellbeing, from friends and relationships, your identity, to bullying, drugs and alcohol, or the news.

What information do I need to give? When signing up, you are asked to create a username and give your location and the month/year of your birth. That is all the information Kooth will keep unless you tell them more.

If they are really worried about you and think that you are at risk or in danger, they will talk to you about the need for somebody outside the Kooth team to know what has happened or what is happening to you. More information can be found on their Privacy page
