The Joint Commissioning Plan

The way we prioritise our work across health, education and social care for children, young people with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and their families is set out in a Joint Commissioning Plan. We are pleased to publish Stockport’s SEND Joint Commissioning plan for 2020 to 2023.

This is an important and exciting point in our SEND Improvement journey and outlines the local area’s shared commitment to supporting children and young people with SEND and their families in Stockport.

The Joint Commissioning Plan has been co-produced with key people and the priorities have been shaped by working with children and families. The Plan also reflects the findings of our Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and our current spend. It takes into account the Ofsted and Care Quality commission inspection in September 2018 and the subsequent written statement of action.
