Chris McLoughlin: SEND Board Co-Chair

Hi, my name is Chris McLoughlin and my role is the Director of Children's Services. I am responsible for all children’s, young people, families’ and education services. This includes integrated leadership with the NHS Foundation Trust and Stockport Family responsible for all children’s, young people,families’ and education services.

What SEND means to me

Improving the outcomes, life chances and opportunities for all our SEND children and young people, through determined and effective coproduction

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

I want Stockport tobe an ambitious place for every resident. A place where our SEND children, young people and adults are highly valued, highly respected, nurtured and included, with every opportunity to thrive and succeed

Andrea Green: SEND Board Co-Chair

Hi, my name is Andrea Green, I am the Chief AccountableOfficer of NHS Stockport Clinical Commissioning Group. My role with SEND is to make sure we plan and buy the right healthcare, and that we do this together with the local authority, other SEND colleagues and most importantly the children, young people and parents of those who need services.

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

Comprehensive early support and help for parents, children and young people, to enable them to live their best lives.

Bev Milway

Hi, my name is Bev Milway and my role is the Strategic Lead for SEND and Inclusion. I have responsibility for:

  • SEND strategy
  • Ensure we put the lived experience central to all our work and co-produce provision going forwards
  • Ensuring the early help offer is strengthened
  • Ensure we have the right offer of support

What SEND means to me

I want to improve the experience and outcomes for our young people with
SEND and believe strongly that we need to be ambitious for our young
people

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

For families and schools to gain the right support at the right time.

Paul Harper

Hi, my name is Paul Harper and I am the Co-Chair, Parents andCarers Together Stockport (PACTS). I am responsible for

  • Communicating the lived experience of Stockport families where there is SEND
  • Supporting services to improve outcomes for families where there is SEND
  • Steering the work of PACTS

What SEND means to me:

Supporting young people in Stockport with SEND to succeed in education and employment, participate in their community, live healthily and become more independent

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

To strengthen partnerships between children and young people with SEND, their families and those who work with them in Stockport

Claire Woodford

Hi, my name is Claire Woodford and I am the Director of women, Children and Diagnostics services at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. I am responsible for managing health services for Women and Children in Stockport and the High Peak. I am a Children’s nurse but my role is more about managing services than hands-on.

What SEND means to me:

I am passionate about SEND Co-Production and lead that work-stream – my vision is that all services work well together around every child’s individual needs.

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

To deliver services to children, Young People and Families that we are all proud of and meet their individual wishes and dreams.

Danny Pearson

Hi, my name is Danny Pearson and I am the Principal of Aquinas College. I am responsible for representing post-16 institutions.

What SEND means to me

We have to provide the extra help and support needed to help our young people get the most from their learning experiences.

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

That all our young and vulnerable students get access to the services and support that enables them to thrive.

Fancesca Soan

Hi, my name is Francesca Soan and I am the Designated ClinicalOfficer for SEND for Stockport CCG. My role is to support health colleagues here at the CCG and across Stockport to ensure children and young people 0-25 with SEND have the right health support to achieve the best they can. I listen to children & young people, families and professionals so that health services offer the right support /provision to ensure children and young people with SEND are able to aspire high, achieve their outcomes and reach their potential to live happy and healthy lives.

What SEND means to me

I have personal and professional experience of having to fight for the right things for this cohort and my passion comes from wanting to work as hard as I can to reduce the fight for our SENDpopulation.

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

For SEND to truly be everyone's business

Hayley Whitehouse

Hi, my name is Hayley Whitehouse and I volunteer with Parents and carers Together (PACTS). My role is to ensure the voice of the SENDCommunity is heard and acted upon. I help professionals understand that they need to value the lived experience and include children and young people, parents and carers in decisions being made.

What SEND means to me

I want to improve the SEND Journey for children and young people, parents and carers! So it does not feel like “a fight” every step of the way.

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

To ensure that children and young people to be at the heart of everything we do, and the right support to be given at the right time.

Deborah Woodcock

Hi, my name is Deborah Woodcock and my role is as the Director of Operations for Stockport Family and Stockport'schildren's Principal Social Worker. I am responsible for The services delivered within the integrated children’s delivery model that is known as Stockport Family; a family of services working with Stockport’s families.

What SEND means to me

Working together to improve outcomes for children and young people with special educational needs and the experience of services for families

What I want us to be able to achieve together is

For children and young people to achieve their ambitions feeling encouraged and supported.
